Kevin was the coach of AFL club Essendon, and a former player for Richmond. He holds the AFL record for the most games
combined as a player and coach.
Sheedy was the quintessential self-made player. At his peak, he was a supreme big-game performer who epitomised the "kill
or be killed" attitude of the Richmond club.
After his retirement, he commenced a coaching career with Essendon that endured through several eras of the game. Sheedy
is an innovator whose ideas shaped the modern style of Australian football coaching, taking it away from the hard training style
and into the realms of a science.
In 2007, he parted ways with the Essendon Football Club ending 27 years as Essendon senior coach. In his last home game in charge (against
Richmond in Round 21) at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, a mammoth crowd of 88,468 people turned out to farewell the great man Sheedy and
James Hird. After Essendon lost a closely contested match, Sheedy received a standing ovation as he left the fi eld for the last time.

2009 is set to be a difficult one for the Airline Industry. We have already seen a long standing freighter carrier leave the Australian market. Both passenger and cargo loads are expected to drop during the year. Airlines will have some tough decisions to make regarding such things as capacity, routes serviced and frequency. How will these decisions effect our industry?
Richard Pierse, Chair of the Victorian Airfreight Council will lead a panel of Airline senior representatives to discuss these and other issues in what shapes to be a thought provoking session. Topics will also cover the increased focus of Melbourne as a future dedicated freighter hub and the role of new generation aircraft to handle the cargo task. We will discuss the necessity to constantly innovate in the area of loose freight handling and ask how does CCTV assist with efficiency and the claims process.
