10:00 am CURRENT ACCC INVOLVEMENT IN CARGO AND OTHER AVIATION ISSUES
This session will discuss the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission's role in granting immunity from legal action to arrangements that might otherwise be anti-competitive. It will illustrate discussion with matters affecting cargo. The ACCC is currently undertaking a review of immunities previously granted to IATA, in relation to its cargo program. It is also considering an application for immunity of a proposed alliance between Qantas, Air New Zealand and Air Pacific.
