SECURITY AND TECHNOLOGY
Who is in Charge of Border Security?

Which government agency is going to be responsible for air cargo security at the border following the outcome of the review conducted under the auspices of Sir John Wheeler from the UK? Amongst other things, the review identified that Customs should play a greater role in border security, as they are in the front line. But who is in charge? How will the government manage the process going forward and what changes can industry expect out of all of this? This should prove to be a very interesting and informative session into the future of international air cargo security for Australia.
