USA Advance Aircargo Information requirements
Dear {Firstname},
Qantas freight have approached AFIF regarding their plans to comply with the impending US Customs requirements for electronic advance aircargo information, which is due to become mandatory on MARCH 1, 2004.
Most importantly, US Customs must receive the info 4 hours before aircraft arrival. This means there should be no physical impediments to the current cargo lodgment system but there may be some software system changes, enabling you to electronically transmit the MAWB/HAWB & MANIFEST info to Qantas.
There will be other options to report the information, including the new Ezycargo system. Qantas may also provide a link through their own Website.
We suggest that in the first instance, you discuss your capabilities and needs with your Industry software providers, as Qantas are currently in the process of advising them. If you manage your own in-house systems and need help or direct contact with Qantas, please advise AFIF asap and we will assist.

Thanks and regards ,
