As advised in previous Bulletins, the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) has stipulated that there will be mandatory training requirements under Chapter 1.3 of the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code to the effect that all shore based personnel involved in the transport of dangerous goods for sea will require appropriate mandatory training.
The current AMSA approved internet-based online training course has proved to be convenient for some but is not always the best solution for all situations.
AFIF would now like to advise that it can provide AMSA approved face-to-face Classroom Training for IMDG Code (DG by Sea) Training.
