Update on Patrick Port Botany Terminal 31st October 2008

As you may be aware Patrick Port Terminal experienced a computer malfunction today which has slowed down their R&D operation and an advice was issued for trucks to avoid the terminal during this time.

Patrick Port Botany have also advised that the Terminal holding is very high and they are heading into a weekend of big vessel discharge. They will be manning three R&D shifts. These will include Saturday day shift; Sunday day and afternoon. There are currently over 500 slots available and they are urging carriers to make use of their R&D shifts so as to reduce congestion into next week.

Please advise all concerned.
